I installed the 310 and the TCM. On a couple of occasions when at half throttle the truck feels like it is trying to find a gear and shifts hard (normal) so I back out of the throttle. I then notice the wrench light is on and it won't shift to a higher gear until I stop and shut the truck off and restart it. Once I do this all is good and the wrench goes away. It has done this with and without the TCM on the 310. Have not noticed it on the 275 but since I got the 310 I havent run it but 1 day after I installed the TCM. TCM has been in for 3 days. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

On another note the 310 kicks ass and the TCM makes a huge diffrence. Much crisper shifts. Can't wait for the next guy to want to race me!!

Thanks in advance!!

Could be a shift solenoid getting stuck or something. I had this happen to me yesterday. I was going up a curvey road on a mountain. I let out of it going around a curve, went to hit the pedal again and it revved up not in gear. I immediately let off and it went into gear. Well it stayed in that gear (pretty sure it was 3rd) until I turned the truck off, cranked it back up, and manually shifted from 1st through 3rd. I also had my truck in the dealer the other day and got the tranny fluid changed and a new filter put in. The tech might not have put enough fluid in....I didnt get the wrench light either by the way.

I had the same thing happen to me the other day...only had it happen once on me tho. I was thinking and thought maybe it was my traction control kicking in at a bad moment in the shift process???

I looked for codes and there are a couple. I will have to right them down and re-post. I do remember on of them being a solenoid. It is the 60's here and man my truck just rolls!!!!! Just to a buddy for a ride and he got scared once the torque converter locked and it pushed in even further back in his seat....:D I also had the my tranny fluid changed a month or so ago and have not added the recommended 1/2 qt. yet. I completely forgot...grrrrrrr

Reload the tune, then do some hard WOT runs in 4x4. That'll teach the tranny and it'll quit limping around

I just got back inside from doing a 275 reflash and the recommended 25,50,75%, rolls from 40-75, 2 WOT: tranny learns. It was a little wet so I did them all in 4x4hi. Fist few went good, then the 75% runs and WOT runs went terrible. Twice on the 75% I got into it and it fell flat on its face, would power into it a bit then just felt like neutral until I let off and eased back into it slow. Then I went into 4hi one run was okay, I turned around and did another WOT, instantly it felt like I was coasting in neautral and hit a rock my tranny oil pan. It wasn't like the miss gear hard shift thing, or the normal hard shifts, it was completley new and the most scared I've ever been for my tranny. I might be taking this tune off, in all honesty it cant be good.

Powers fun though, and I dont mind the stiff shifts at all, but now twice today when I coasted into a corner and eased into the throttle it was like it went from neutral and slams into gear, that really sucks. But the 4hi WOT tranny learn run today scared the crap out of me.

I've tried adding tranny oil about 3days ago and had all the tranny oil changed and toped off and now the tranny seems just as bad if not its getting worse fast. Tech said I had a good bit of metal one the plug. I had him save me a sample of the tranny oil for testing.

Troy, it sounds as if you are in the market for a new tranny and/or a Suncoast, if you go Suncoast let me know, there is one in Lacey Wa.

Will do. Yeah the 275 was pretty good for first few days, with exception of the low gear random gear slam. But then started going goofy just not feeling uniform in anyway, all shifts felt diffrent even through same gears at same RPMs just at diffrent times. Sometimes jerky, sometimes so smooth seemed just like stock, other times well lets just say it was scary.

But then was feeling doggy, no where near as powerful, first few days it was a monster. Then felt almost like the 210 but not as slow, but really slow and sparatic shifting. Reloaded the tune, did the tranny learn that went horrible in my opinion and seems slower now. Most noticeable is at first when I hit the gas even 10% throttle the response was so powerful and fast, almost scary at times. Now on the road i pushed it from 0-30% throttle and i really didn't feel much of anything. Deffinetly a hugh change from the first day I loaded it up.

Dont know if my tranny or TC couldn't handle the power and now is half shot. I mean I even got on it on the freeway and it took like 2.5 seconds for it to really kick in then it was just like a really big power tug that was kinda smooth, not jerky, but still really odd feeling. Never felt it until the relearn. Any time before when I stepped on it it would down shift and take off really quick! Now I just have no idea what to expect when I hit the gas.
