I typically don't respond to a question like this in a forum as from what I read, you are asking for customer feedback, not input from the person making the files. But since you posted you want my input, here goes.

I have made DPF friendly files for many customers. They are designed to have less soot with more power and complimenting transmission tuning for less regens, better power, and better fuel economy. Of course the gains in fuel economy are not as great as our off road only cals, about 1MPG (2 if you REALLY baby the truck), but it does make up in power and better driveabilty. Testing has shown that a stock truck will regen almost twice as much as one with our DPF tunes. Another thing to keep in mind, there is a limit that we have put on the max power level (150HP) with the DPF still in place to ensure that the tune is not damaging the DPF. We have had no issues with our DPF tunes. These tunes are not the 250 race tune but are a very good alternative to someone who wants a good running street legal truck with more than stock.

I'm running the 150hp DPF on tune. Like Nutty said, it's not as powerfull as the DPF delete tunes, but mileage is a little better than stock and the extra power & better trans shifts are always welcome. With that said, that damned DPF is coming off as soon as the warranty is expired. This way, I'm all set to upgrade to the DPF delete tunes when I'm ready. I was already running with the AFE intake & MBRP exhaust, so I can't testify to the regen issue. I was regenning every 700 miles without the tune with the above mentioned hardware. I get the CEL for the 1st 350 miles after regen, then it's gone until after the next regen. Hope this helps...
