I currently have the 210hp program and like it. I am interested in upgrading to the 275 but it seems more people out here have issues with it. Issues like converter slippage, tanny jarring, ect.....

Can you guys weigh in on the subject? Is it worth an additional $300? What issues have you run into?

Reliability of the truck is still extremely important to me.

I used the 275 and 275v4 for about 15,500 mile.. Then I got the 310 tune... I use my truck as daily driver... I drive about 115 miles round trip, mostly freeway... I loved the 275 for the power, smoke and fuel milage... I only had maybe one or two times that I had a real bad jerk or tranny jam... Do not get me wrong.. I like the 250 tune... Easier on the trans from everything that I have read but I really love the 275 and miss it... Once spring comes around and I do not have to worry about ice and slippery roads I will probably go back to the 275 and most likely order the TCM... Either way to me is not a bad decision... I really did notice a big difference between the two...

I would wait until Spartan releases the the update that will allow you to run any of the tunes 250 and under, and then run the 250 tune. If your not looking for major power I wouldn't waste your money on the 275 tune. The 250 tune is a great daily driver for most people and still has that git up and go.

I run the 250 all the time, it has all the power I need, I also have the 275 V3 & V/4, just me I feel the 275 is way to radical for what I use my truck for, just remember these are "RACE" tunes, the 250 will give you plenty of power and fuel mileage.

I would not get the 275 if your truck is a job 1 and if it is, you will need an upgraded TC and the TCM. While your at it go for the tranny rebuild kit. Heads can lift, rods can throw so if your gonna race it, head studs, valves, springs rods would all be woth the money. Very hard to get ford to replace a blown moded motor. If you got a job 2 a TC and TCM and easy driving would probably be okay, keyword: probably. However there is guys with the 275 and all stock running the crap out of their trucks with no issues, yet. So if reliability is a big issue I'd go 210 or 250 and just be nice to your truck and upgrade it as the money comes in.

I run the 275 on a daily basis. Bought it back in Feb of this year. No issues what so ever. It's reliable. It shifts hard, but fuel mileage is top notch and power is amazing. I am Currently saving for the 310 and TCM. From what I hear, the TCM will help with this hard shift, and that is the only thing I would change about my 275 in my truck. Other than that, I love it.

To the OP, if you are looking for big power, hard shift, aggressive feel, you sacrifice the smooth feel, why not just go ahead and get the 310. But if you are only looking for strong reliable power, and still smooth feeling, ya stick with the 250 or 210.

get the 310 it shifts was better than the 275 .... I use the 310 as my daily driver and wont go back to the 275 ... 310 is by far a way better tune ... the only issue i have with the 310 is on washboard roads , the throttle is very sensitive and you have to back out of it if the truck starts bucking, other than that it puts a BIG STUIPID GRIN on my face everytime i get into the truck ... im not even running the tcm .... yet......

If i have to tow i use the proven tow tune ... the 210 .... ask anyone on here who tows, you can beat it for reliability and power and it has safetys unlike the race tunes 250 275 and 310 so it lets you know when your pushing the limits.....

Ive been running the 275 for about 5k miles so far and in my opinion it is the best all around tune hands down! Not one problem at all... the shifts are hard in the beginning but once your tranny learns your driving style its fine. TRUST ME, the 275 is worth it and i have had no problems what so ever. I wouldnt worry, you got the best tuners in the powerstroke world designing/developing these tunes your running!

I've ran the 275 tune from the 275V1 way back when till I got the 310 the weekend Matt made it. I would still be running it today if there was not a 310 tune. It does shift hard, and is suppose too so you won't burn up your transmission. It's a great tune, but if you don't like firm shifting then it would probably not be the tune for you. Nutty and Matt did an excellent job developing all these tunes. I can say that there are a hell of a lot of us that has been running these big tunes with no problems. Have there been some, sure. But there has also been people with the same problems running stock trucks... Just go for it. It's like anything else, if you run the crap out of your truck tuned or not then sooner or later you will more than likely have problems.

I like the 275 and would be running the 310 but someone has been having to much fun at SEMA to call Mick back and fix my tune ;) I have had the 275 do the jerky thing a few times so far though. But other then that its been a great tune for me. I get 15mpg hand calced with a mix of city and 80mph freeway.

Some have big problems some don't have any. You need to ask yourself if you could handle the worst possible option. Blown motor, no warranty. If you can handle that I would say get it. Now that's the WORST possible case. Then again its very possible you won't have 1 issue. But if u blow your shit up you can cry all you want, no one is going to fix it for you.

I lifted my head gaskets in less than two weeks with the 275 and I was really easy on it. But I had a edge chip for 7K miles, who knows what damage that caused. I also had a tech remove my heads about 6months ago, who's to say he didn't torque them down properly. I've search issues on here and found at least 5 bad cases. Some were stupid and left there tuner on the truck, or didn't put their dpf back on.. I do believe spartan tunning is the absolute best you can get. But adding 275HP is a lot to a stock motor. I also have a bad torque converter as well. But its a known fact job 1 truck TCs were garbage. I don't believe one can say you will be fine, or you won't be fine. I do believe if your decent to your truck you'd probably be okay, but no one will guarantee it. In the end it will be your decision. I've seen more good cases by far, so I'm almost lead to believe its faulty truck that couldn't of ever handled the power, or just guys being to extreme.

I bought my truck off the lot with no miles on it at all, I drove it stock for the first 15000 miles to break the engine in and the truck for that matter. AFTER break in I purchased the SPARTAN tunes and have ran the higest tunes for the last 20000 miles. I have had no Issues with my truck besides a bad egrta sensor. I maintain my truck . Oil changes every 100 hours , oil and fuel filters and I check my transmission fliud everytime I service to keep the fluid at the just above the full mark.

For all you new guys looking into this spartan tuning you wont find a better product for your 6.4 or 6.0 liter powerstrokes. SPARTAN is the leader in tuning for the ford powerstroke enigines because the ONLY deal with ford trucks and they dont release a product unless they are happy with there testing and know they are putting out the best products for there customers.. but like anything else trucks break .. stock or tuned.. when the truck is tuned its just eaiser to blame the tuner..

For you guys that drive more than 60% city driving I wouldnt recommend using the 310 or the 275 tunes unless you have the TCM from spartan and a job 2 or higher truck.. THEY ARE RACE TUNES NOT DAILY DRIVERS. I use the big tunes on the highway where they are most effective and double my fuel economy. In town I use the smooth shifting 210 tune that has enough power to spank almost anyone on the road and isnt beating my transmission.

THE BEST WAY TO THINK WHEN YOUR RUNNING 560+ HORSE AT THE WHEELS IS THAT YOUR TRUCK HAS NO WARRENTY..... EVEN IF IT DOES... SO TAKE CARE OF IT.

HATE TO SAY THIS CAUSE I SOUND LIKE AN OLD GUY LIKE MICK ( SORRY MICK;) ) BUT WITH GREAT POWER COMES GREAT RESPONSIBILITY... USE IT WISELY..
