i was just wondering if its just a certian area or if its all strokes. a friend of mine works for a ford dealer in new york and he said 6.4s are blowing up turbos left and right and the hpfp is exploding and destroys the whole fuel system. is was just curious to cause my truck threw a turbo charger performance code today when i started it to run it alittle. it still has a bad egr cooler on it Cobbs hasnt got me my parts yet and im alittle concerned.

Ive seen two that the hpfp exploded and left steelchuncks all over and sheared bolts off and contaminated the entire fuel system. the two trucks were completely stock the kicker was they had very low miles and high hours on the hour meter. Lots of idling! And no, warranty didn't cover the repairs.

My HPFP and low pressure turbo went bad so to say when the truck was stock, but nothing blew up. The turbo incident happened when my DPF clogged up and quit regening. The HPFP just went bad and wasn't pumping fuel properly anymore.

nice well i was just wondering and that sucks if they didnt cover the pumps under warranty.

Mine got covered, but then again mine did not blow up when it went bad. Just quit pumping properly
