Does the Spartan Phalanx tunes correct for a CAT delete pipe?

If so where can I get the CAT delete so I can change that when I change the DPF. :)

Yes it does...I think Spartan now offers the cat as well as dpf delete pipes.

A couple other guys do as well.

Any advantage to removing the CAT as well?

As in mpg or performance or is just the DPF delet enough?

In other words is it worth it to delete both the CAT and DPF?

im sure there is, i doubt you will notice it. i did mine cause it was as easy as just doing the dpf and you don't have to worry about the gasket between the two. nutty said he has changed his several times and never damaged the gasket but if you did they are not cheap. i think it also improves the sound a but.

Do you have a link to one or do you know Spartan's price?

If you are looking for the most performance and fuel economy, then yes, removing both will be your best option. The DPF delete pipe was designed for those that wanted to easily put the DPF back on the truck to run on the highway:)

Matt told me just to hammer the screen out so if I wanted to do any on road driving.lol. I could put the dpf back on and it would still look normal. That's as good as deleting it is it not scott? Or is that wrong?

I personally would not mutilate any of my trucks parts...not the DPF nor the CAT....its pretty easy to just take them both off, and put them both on if need be.

The gaskets are pretty tough, unless you handle it like a gorilla....or a mexican monkey with a cheater bar, then I dont see you messing it up.

I ordered the system on Monday; awaiting delivery. Any advise on separating the DPF from the exhaust while minimizing risk to damaging the gasket ?

just be careful. like pahrump said, unless you are careless you should be fine. pull it apart at the down stream side so it will slip off the studs at the flange and you'll be golden

Black06 - You shouldn't have any problem getting it off. If it sticks some, use a putty knife and it will come right off.
