What are guys pushing their trucks to for EGT's on the track? This is a serious question that i must get to the bottom of. they say regen run at 1700 or so. the reason i ask is because i put 2 pistons in y truck already, but at the same time we changed the pistons we changed an injection pump and the 2 injectors that matched the melted pistons. i was running 310 tune and pushing 1750 to 1800 degrees. so i dont know if it was the heat or an injector that melted me down. what is "safe" to and extent on these engines. my next question is what drive pressures are you guys getting? on the norm, i understand 1.3 to 1 ratio is a pretty acceptable drive pressure ratio. on the 310 tune i average with stock turbos about 2 : 1. this is quite high. how do you guys overcome this problem? i also have my coolers deleted but am not running a wastegate, would a wastgate on my vgt turbo solve the drive pressure problem?

EGT's are not an issue my friend. The intense testing that Matt and Mick do proves this. If your worried about EGT's then get water injection or nitrous. Both will cool your EGT's. Drive pressure can only be relieved through the use of a wastegate. That leaves you with one option currently.....the Elite EGR delete w/wastegate ($1200).

what he said, get a wastegate.

i think i will skip the wastegate and buy an s480 and supercharge it with an 8-71 blower. s480 for backend and feed the turbo with 30lbs from the supercharger
