So I was driving to work this morning touch the brake pedal to slow down for the corner & my truck died. Dash monitor said. Trailer brake contoller fault. Tried to use DashDaq to read codes but it said the key wasn't on. Turned key off then back on still nothing. Turned key off. Shut down Dasdaq then turned everything back on. Dashdaq still said the key wasn't on. Anyway the trucks on it's way to ford as I type. Anybody heard of this or got any suggestions on what it could be.

did you get a chance to return to stock tunes before you took it into the dealership? I hope they dont void your warranty because of the tuner.

Turns out the wireing harness or one of the cables from the battery was rubbing on something under the hood bared some wires & got corroded probably from road salt. Ford is going to try & repair the wireing. Cost is going to be around $600.00 for the repair if they can do it. If they can't repair it they'll have to replace the whole wireing harness. Min cost for replacing wireing harness $2500.00 that if they don't have to pull the cab to do it. I've been working so I have'nt been able to go see the problem. When I get the truck back I'll update what happened & how everyone can avoid the same problem.

Turns out it was the main cable that goes to the wireing harness from the positive post on the drivers side battery. It was rubbing on the battery box & the motor. The y were able to repair the cable & everything is working fine. Cost $481.00 to fix. Could have been alot more.
