The other day I floored it from a slow roll. When it went to shift into 3rd truck hesitated like it was going to miss the gear and then revved up some and shifted . It did that a couple times. I read for codes, a ecm/pcm miss communication code came up thought maybe a fluke. So today I installed the new tunes, went through the relearn process it did it again. Only seems to do this from a dead stop and flooring it. Checked dip stick for oil level seems to be about right but added a half court just in case. Please help with any ideas.

This is the first I have heard of this. What was the actual code? I am guessing it was a U code.

Ya u1001 or something i didnt wright it down I cleared it to see if it would come back again tonight and it wouldnt pick up the code. I am running the 250 tune and have only done so since december. I hope its not possible my 3rd gear is going. If I can try and described it better. From a dead stop and your tires spin ,when the truck catches traction and revs up and shifts, its kind of like that.

Was it U0101?

This error occurs if the CAN data communication is interrupted between the PCM and the TCM.

Is there anything i can do to check it out. Why would it happen at the same gear every time? Or why wouldnt the code come up again after the miss shift happened again. Ya that looks like the code.

I am not sure. I haven't heard of this before. It could be a connection issue. Have you tried a different tune? Usually a U code doesn't have anything to do with mechanical issues. U codes are connection issues between modules and something else....or in this case between two modules. Try loading up the 210 tune or the 210 Tow Performance and see if it comes back. Or go to stock and then back to the 250 tune.

Anythings worth a try. Think its a tuning issue or is there any connection I can check. The only other thing I noticed is when i checked the trans dipstick there was some particals of something on the bottom of the stick. I kept wiping it off and sticking it back in, and was cleaner each time. Not sure what it was I wouldnt think I should have to change fluid yet I only have 20k on the truck.

I just went out and drove it again for the hell of it did the same thing but only from a near stop. But it didnt throw any codes. So I will try taking tuning files off the card and reload them, then load stock tune, and try reloading 250 tune. Not sure what to do.
