I had the same thing happen on my Cummins. It was a bad gasket between the exhaust manifold and the turbo.
High pitch whistle and the air leak could only be felt if the engine was revving. It got worse under a high boost load or when using the exhaust brake.

yep i would look around the turbos....get your buddy to give it some throttle and you should be able to see something around the turbos with the hood popped....on my friends you could see a little black smoke come out when it was throttled and also her the whistle....i think if i remember right they have to pull the cab and transmission to get to it

well couldnt find anything around the turbos so went and had it checked and it winds up that the air leak and wistle is coming from my cooling system when the rad cap is blowing off from a over pressure symptom. Guess arp is going to be getting a call time for head studs and gaskets. Thanks guys for the input

ARP head studs aren't available bud. You will have to go with Elite's studs and OEM gaskets.

I have a friend who works for ARP and I couldn't get my hands on them. I'm kind of glad I went the H11 route now though...nearly 100 extra HP and they are holding strong.
