so i just went to a larger tire and want to get alittle more power back.. i use the 250 as a daily driver.. what is all recommended when upgrading to the 275? is just tcm ok? i have not tranny work and just a drop in air filter..

I run the 275 and the tcm... personally i find the 310 too much for just the stock transmission with just the tcm alone, it holds up but i know that it is decreaseing the life of my transmission prematurely.

I just Got the Tcm Tuesday I have a Job 1 truck and before I was running the 275 with out it and it ran good but alot of times it would shutter or would fall flat on its face, now that ive replaced TCM with a spartanTCM it runs 10 times better i have yet to run the 310 tune because my head gaskets blown and ford is currently backed up on diesels right now so I have no clue how it will run with the 310, I know before I tryed it once and it ran like absolute shit so hopefully it will be better.

I run the 275, no tcm. Been running it for a while now, no issues.

The 310 on the other hand, I agree with Brad, I think its just a bit much for the stock tranny. I ran it for about a week, never could get the tranny to like it much. (but I do not have the Spartan TCM).

Mines a job2 and I run the TCM and 310 as a daily driver, it shifts better than my 275

Is the tcm needed for the 310 tune on a job 3?

Its not absolutely needed, but it would make your tranny more reliable over time if you daily drive with the 310. If you don't daily drive with the 310, its really not needed.
