The difference is getting all updated tunes from the highest hp that you currently have down to the 40hp. If your largest tune is the 250 then you would get every tune including the 250, 210 tow, 210, 175, 150, 125, 75, 40, stock no regen tune, and 4 dpf on tunes. Plus you can still use your old tunes if you like....

seniac, updating to strategy flash will get you a few bonuses. First, it will allow you to use tunes like the 210 tow performance and 310 mild tune (if you have the license). It will bring your DD up to date and allow you access to new tunes and updated tunes that are down-loadable from the Spartan website.

Thanks to both of you for your replies, one other question when i do this do i have to email for new tunes or are they already there on the web site. i may be blind but i don't seem to see any where on the site to update tuner. and will my truck be down until the email or can you still use the tunes on the card that i already have, just want to make sure, I can't afford to not have my truck available right now. Ive not been on the forum for awhile is the 210 tow tune allot better for towing i guess it was more than one question thanks.

seniac, when you update your tuner, your current .enc files should still work, but really need Jeff or Mick to confirm that for you as my tuner was a strategy flash from day one...I did not personally do the upgrade so no experiance.

The strategy flash tunes are available on the Spartan website, under "user menu", "update tuner" on the right hand side of the screen. You must be logged into the website to see them. To clarify, you must log into the "Spartan website" here http://www.spartandieseltech.com/ , not onto this "message board" forum.

As for the 210 tow performance tune, it's by far my favorite daily driving and towing tune! It has responded differently in different people's truck, but in my truck (job 3) it's awesome. You can drive like a granny and receive nice soft shifts like the regular 210 tune, but when you put the screws to it it will respond with quick firm shifts like it should be. I wish (sorry Mick) the higher performance "race tunes" performed this way as well :-)

Hope this helps.
Joe

You have to send me an email requesting to upgrade your unit to strategy flash. After the conversion you'll have the choice to use the old or new tunes. You'll get an email with directions. Tunes are available to download from our website. Your truck has to be an automatic, manual transmission strategy flash is still not working. Will need the following info:

DashDAQ serial #

Name

Who your purchased your unit from

List of your tunes

Send to tech@spartandieseltech.com
