I took my truck on a weekend run to play golf near l'aubergue du lac casio in Lake Charles, LA (about 200 mi trip.) I got in the 20 mpg range with the cruse set at 70, and letting it coast up some of the steep bridges to keep the turbo pressure low. I get steady 17 mpg's driving to and from work. anyone else calculating similar numbers? I probably could get a little better than 17 but I use the smoke screen everytime someone gets to close to me. ;) LOL

That sounds about right. I hand calculated 19.7 mpg with the 275 tune one time driving in a similar fashion.

My dash gauge was showing 27.5 mpg's and climbing. Usually it is about 5 marks over actual hand calculation:cool:. I know i was over 20. My dad used my truck and he filled it up; the mpg's on the dash gauge went down to 23. . . you know what that means . . . dad likes the smoke screen:D. . . anyone wanna sell dad a FORD?

Sounds like I need to upgrade to the 275 and the TCM! I don't have the TCM and I run the 250 tune..... the best I have done is 16mpg..... and that was really trying, cruise control set at 65mph. I have 35" tires that I know really tear into my mileage.

I want to upgrade to the 275 and the TCM. I still have the older version of the DD in my truck. I'm kinda waiting for them to add the Tire Size Adjustment to the DD. Also..... I think they make you buy the 310 tune to upgrade to the TCM setup..... and I really don't want that tune, and don't wanna have to pay for it.

For the record, this fuel mileage can be achieved without the Spartan TCM....

I have the 275 tune too. No TCM. I was getting around 18 MPG until I went with 35" Toyo Open Country A/T's. Getting around 15.5-16 MPG now. That's mostly HWY driving 65-70 MPH. Oh well.....next time it's time for new rubber, I'll get something more suited to the highway. Hopefully that'll bring my MPG's back up. Still love all that power though!!

Is it better to run them a little harder with the 250 tunes will you get better mpg or run them easy .I run the 210 tow all the time I get around 10-11 with trailer and 13-14 with out .And by easy I mean 64mph at the most

Not sure what my problem is then. I run the 275 tune, stock all terrain tires (35's) I try to drive very consertively and best I have ever gotten was 16 mpg with my usual being around 15.6 mpg.

I would love to see 17-19 mpg

right at 17mpg on the highway here. 12 flat in town all hand calc and this is running the 250 tune. It kind of seemed like i lost a bit of mileage when i switched to the newest version of tune and wish i had saved the old version.

want better fuel milage on any tune? inflate your tires to the manufactures specs on the door.

i run 35 12.5 20 toyo opencountry mud terrains. they say on the side wall 60 psi max... i run my front tires at 75 and my rears at 70 .. lets face it were never gonna see the full potential of the tires life span anyway, not with the power we have. but you will see better mpg. i rotate my tires every oil change to compensate for wear. try it for a month and see the difference. :D
