View Full Version : Why cant it be Tune on the fly? I'm not Complaining just a story!

I'm not bitching but i came up aginst a duramax this afternoon and got beat. I had the 150 loaded and he must have tuned up on the fly because all of a sudden he was billowing black smoke that he wasnt previously. I did not get beat bad but still i wasnt happy, when we left the light we were real close then his converter must have locked up before mine did because he left me behind. I came home and put the 275 back on i'm not gettin beat again.

You cannot get the in depth transmission tuning with shift on the fly. It would be nice to have, but it's just not as reliable. 5R110's don't so much like shift on the fly either. H&S seems to have done well, but there aren't too many high mileage beaten on 6.4's with H&S tuning.

Sucks man. Got caught with your pants down by a dirtymax. That's the reason I only roll with the 275 tune.

same here i daily drive the 250. i made the mistake of running the 40hp tune one day....... NEVER AGAIN!

I run the 275 all the time, love the way it performs!!
Also love being able to smoke out anyone that decides to follow too close!

LOL! That's funny chit right there.

I can't laugh to hard, I've been there. I had the 250 tune loaded and got whooped up on by a mustang gt. :( You can't say, "hey hold on 27 mins and let me load my big HP tune. Then I'll kick your azz". lol, it just doesn't work like that.
Gotta tuck the tail between the legs, get home, load the 275, then be ready for his azz the next time you see him. :cool:
