What gear were you in when you were on the dyno?me,diesel fool and stroken were there today and the guy ran their trucks from 3500 to 4000 rpm for atleast 5-7 seconds. That is not the way you dynojet trucks and we know this but his excuse was it wasn't in its top gear. Total bs but could you give us some in depth details of rpm when you layed into it. What boost? What rpm you let off. What your tach and speedo said? What size tires you had on. This info would be super appreciated. Thanks

The guys that dynoed my truck were not familiar with diesels. It was a tuning shop for mustangs. I have a datalog of the event but I'm pretty sure I didn't measure rpms. I'll have to go back and check. At one point I remember them trying to do the run in tow haul mode cause they couldn't be into the right gear. When it gets colder I'll probably run over to Dallas and try to find someone more qualified and has the proper equipment to read torque.

If running on a dyno jet without a dyno trans cal, you could set it up to do an all gear run.

Thats how mine was ran....the guys at the shop were retards though, used to dynoing ricers.

I will get some REAL number next weekend hopefully

Yeah, I am not sure what this guy was thinking, but the guy was not even close to working the truck or the dyno properly. I would assume that if the dyno was set up right, the truck should have had a hard time revving over 3500 rpm and attaining over 100 mph wheel speed.
The way he was doing our trucks was run the wheel speed up until the truck reached top gear, then hammer it. My truck then grabbed at least two lower gears then powered through to upshift as RPM and wheel speed went through the roof. When it shifted , the guy said we did something wrong. The only thing we did wrong was take it to him in the first place. He should get a job at Pratt and Whitney dyno testing jet engines or something.
With my crappy 120 hp SCT tune, he said it made 307hp. At 4000 RPM and over 100 mph, that is not too bad! He also said it also made 362 hp once. I figured with the tune I had in, it should have been around 370-375 hp. STROKEN's made 407 hp at about the same rpm with the 250 nutty tune. He was also running out of fuel (Dumbass). SLEDNECK was too smart to run his truck after watching this buffoon . I recieved my DD this morning, so bye bye SCT!!!! Now I won't feel "dirty" when using the forum.

The Dyno was a Dyno Dynamics from Australia. It was nice that we could Dyno outside because of my 9" exhaust tip will not work with any indoor ventilation systems. Does anyone know if there is a direct drive gear?
