This process should be performed if you have a stock TCM and have loaded the 210 TP, 250, 275, 300, 310, or 350 tunes. I have made this relearn as painless as possible since several people feel that the old relearn is too stressful on the truck. It's not something that you have to do, but it is something that I highly recommend if you want the ultimate consistency out of your 5R110W.

1. From a stop, accelerate to 50-55 MPH at 10-15% throttle. DO THIS FIVE TIMES.
2. From a stop, accelerate to 55-60 MPH at 20-25% throttle. DO THIS FIVE TIMES.
3. From a stop, accelerate to 55-60 MPH at 40-50% throttle. DO THIS THREE TIMES.
4. From a stop, accelerate to 60 MPH at 60-75% throttle. DO THIS TWO TIMES. ALTHOUGH I RECOMMEND THIS STEP, IT IS OPTIONAL.
5. From a stop, accelerate to 60-70 MPH at 85-100% throttle. DO THIS TWO TIMES. THIS IS AN OPTIONAL STEP IN THE PROCEDURE.

If you aren't sure about throttle position, you can monitor throttle position percentage with the DashDAQ.

Hi Jeff - I'm new to the site and the Spartan console. Even though I'm pretty light on the gas (other than a little occasional fun), I've been having problems with my transmission since the install (slips, sometimes it feels like the truck isn't sure what gear it should be in, sometimes the truck won't move when I give it gas and so I have to back off and then reapply the gas). I assumed I needed to upgrade the transmission but saw this post while looking for threads about the issues I'm having. With that being said, is the protocol listed above something that one needs to do once the Spartan is installed? I never did anything like this and am wondering if that's why the truck is struggling. A bit about the truck: 2010 F350 Diesel / Spartan Phalanx (have up to +350 but have it on the +250) / 40 inch tires / 10 inch lift / re-geared the truck from 3.55 to 4.56 / front and rear lockers / aFe stage 2 intake / cat and dpf delete. Any thoughts would be great (or directions to past threads that would be helpful reads). Thanks!!! Nate

I recommend it on any tune that has higher line pressure (firmer shifts). It helps the tunes shift more consistently and smooth out quicker. The tunes I recommend it on are the following:

210 Tow Performance
250
275
300
310
350
