What are you guys seeing for boost.....I am seeing a good 5-10lbs more with the 275 tune than I seen with the 250.

I can roll on the throttle going up over an overpass on the highway, and see 44-47lbs easily...when the truck runs like this its hella smooth, no smoke and just GOES.

Pahrump - Mine does the same thing running the 275. Boost seems to be a lot higher than running the 250. I have seen my boost around 48-49, but as far as the smoke I didn't even pay attention to it.

I am not complaining...not at all the truck runs 101% better on this tune vs the 250 I was just curious if everyone else is seeing those numbers.

DieselFool...it probably is the AFE...as mick has an AFE as well.....you better step up to the plate son...LOL

Not really sure, but have hot had any problems with it. I usually drive it like an old lady. Every once in awhile I just have to get on it!

Pahrump, I discovered yesterday I did my last run with the 250 not 275. Not sure what the hell happened there, dumb I guess. Maybe now that I have the big tune in I will install my pizza cutters and kick your ass with my little S&B soft sucker ? :)

By the way, with the 250 or 275 tunes, both our trucks were seeing over 40psi boost. Stroken said his was as high as 47psi. I don't have my DD set up to watch boost as I don't care. As long as my hoses stay on, and the head gaskets stay in there, I let her buck.

DIESEL FOOL - It wouldn't take much to kick his butt. Just give him a few beers and he would forget to put into 4 wheel drive. It would probably be similar to that ratty white Ford that kicked his butt!!!

Mick1955-Pahrump must be a lightweight, a few beers and he forgets how to drive. What would happen if he drank some Canadian beers that actually have some alcohol in them? Probably would have tried in reverse or something! At least it wasn't a dodge that made him look silly. I'm a dedicated Captain Morgan supporter so don't really care about beer unless it's hot. We are getting close to zero degrees on Saturday they say, so snow is very soon and beers are out until next year. I better get my Ford ripping with the 275 so I can get practiced up driving on the skating rinks we call streets and highways with 500hp+!!

That will be interesting to see! It's suppose to be 78 here in E. Texas on Saturday. Sure am glad I don't live up north during the winter months, cause this Texas boy would freeze...

Yeah, when it gets cold enough to freeze your tires flat on the bottom, there is something wrong with that scenario. After I amass a vast Canadian fortune, I may move south or into British Columbia someday.:)

I am a heavyweight when it comes to drinking...I actually think I had only had about a half a beer when I left it in 2wd....I did not drink much at all until I was done on the drag strip. This was just the first time I ahd ever been to the track with a 8000lb truck and 4wd...so between that and talking to people in the staging lanes I just forgot....

I will get the hang of this superduty 4x4 racing one day

I've seen 42 with the 250. Wade I wouldn't say much if I were you. The last time I raced you I recall a lot of white smoke coming from your tires.and paul you don't drive like an old lady you drive like the old man you are.lol.

sledneck57 - That's the highest you've ever seen with the 250? I really can't remember when I had the 250 installed if I even saw it in the 40's. May be just my old age...

The dealer is running it all over the place trying to get everything installed. Should be having the alarm system installed today. Don't know if they already installed the rear air bags. Hope to pick it up tomorrow or Monday.

I've seen that only once or twice but I don't pay att to it all the time either. On the reg it usually gets between 38 and 40 depending on when and how you lay into it.

I was getting 49 psi on a regular basis with the sct tuner. That was with a stock air box and alot of smoke.

Yes, yes you would freeze.

DIESEL FOOL, your comment about riding around on skating rinks brings back a lot of good memory's. I remember my younger years when I lived in Northern Ontario and driving was a hoot. The snow would start in late Oct to early Nov and wouldn't stop until late Apr to early May. We skied all the time, played hockey on frozen ponds and went winter camping in tents. I can remember dig down 2' or so down in the snow and pitching are tent and then back fill the sides to help insulate the tent. Man those were the days..... I'm a little older not and I'm sure if I tired to doing any of that now I'd freeze my ass off in a minute. I've lived in GA for 4 years and I must say I really miss the snow. It's really weird going from an avg. snow fall amount of 110+ inches a year to zero.

BTW..... I've been to Red Deer on my way to the air force base in Cold Lake. The only thing I really remember about the trip is that it was the coldest place I've even been (I was 10 at the time). I also remember the plug in's on the poles in front of the stores so you could plug your car or truck in while you were inside.

Yea, let him try some Molson triple X..... That should knock him on his ass :D.

I wish I could tell you, it was the first time I had been to the track with a 4wd diesel, I just held the brake and built boost till it started to creep forward.

I am going back in a couple weeks and I will do much more monitoring or things this time since now I have a feel for launching a 4wd.

Just an FYI...today I was playing and I put it in 4 hi, and could boost to over 30psi before it would break loose...theres almost no smoke while holding the brake and pedal.

Yesterday I received a take off rail mounted pump from scuffy, hes a tech over at powerstroke.org, I put it on and got the truck started, then this morning it started up again easy, so if it starts tomorrow morning then I am gonna call it fixed and tell the dealership to fuck off
