Dual is correct...TWIN is not....they are different sizedYes I know.. but I wanted YOU to have this thread and pic to shove in someone's face next time they use the term "TWIN".

Just helpin ya out a bit in your quest for terminology correctness as I know how you feel. I simply cannot STAND for someone to call Nitrous "NAWZ". It is supposed to be pronounced either 'NITROUS' or N.O.S (en O ess). Anytime I hear someone call it NAWZ I want to jump thru the monitor and stab them in the damn face.

I hate when people call it N.O.S., too. That's a manufacturer. That's like calling it NX. I accept nitrous, laughing gas, or N2O.

Actually, according to Webster it is listed as:

1 a: either of two offspring produced at a birth bplural capitalized : gemini
2: one of two persons or things closely related to or resembling each other:D
3: a compound crystal composed of two adjoining crystals or parts of crystals of the same kind that share a common plane of atoms

Couple of dream packages/tunes:
1. How about a GPS / 275 hp (or 300hp :D) combo package :cool.
2. How about diesel "RATTLE" tune (a trip down diesel memory lane) for whose who want it to sound like a real diesel
3. How about a COLD WEATHER tune that turns on my f***n heated seats before I get in the vehicle (triggers seats only below 32degF), maybe 50degF for more sensitive members --- Paul (Mick1955) seems a bit sensitive to cold weather - age related ;) --- warm heart I'm sure.

...anyone else with some dream Spartan packages ?

Well with the new 275 tune it rattles like a sumbitch....soulds like a loud ass 7.3...no more leaving the truck running at the drivethru window.

Where should I start! GPS/300 combo is a great idea...
Rattle, just drive anything down my old dirt road and it will:D
Heated seats at 32degf, and it would actually be anytime I get in the damn thing. Great on my back.

I saw that! Why don't you just wire your heated seat to your upfitter switch. Or even better, let me come up and wire it up for you. I think a long extension cord wired to you seat will really get you warmed up...

I can't believe you didn't already know that.:D Still, think it would be better if I went up and wired it to an extension cord. You would really get warm fast!!!

A good idea would be if you have your wife start the truck and turn the seats on .... but upfitter switches only work with the key in the ignition ... wont work for us guys with remote starts..

Actually they will work with the remote start. I have my air compressor for my air horns wired to Aux 2, and my High Idle wired to Aux 4. Provided switches are left in the "up" position, power is on when the remote start is activated. Compressor recharges the air tank, and with the parking brake set, the High Idle feature raises the rpm to 1,200. Nice feature.

i have an autostart and the key has to be in the ingnition and turned to the acc for my upfitters to work.. what brand do you have?

[QUOTE=Black06;3665]

It was installed by the Ford Dealer (Ford Logo and all). My 2006 worked the same say (also Ford installed).

It's 16 degF here (mild by your standards - my brother works in Ft. Mac too). With the high idle feature, truck starts and then approx. 20 seconds later, it slowly increases the revs' to 1,200.

One downside, a friend applied the horn switch to the "on" position (Aux 1) before exiting the truck when we went for lunch. Remote start from the restaurant (horn blasting)....I'm more cautious now.

Made a parallel circuit from the upfitter switches, bypassing the heated seat relay. If you've got a remote start (that powers the upfitter switches) you too can have a warm seat.

Remote start heated seats are the ticket in Michigan with -15degF with wind chill.
