Currently I have SCTLivewire 1.22 tune installed. I have been experiencing surging on it since the release of 1.20 in all the tunes. Have brought it up to SCT's attention. Surging occurs in 4th gear in the mph range of 35-55mph. Once I get below 35 it doesn't happen anymore. And while I'm above or below those speed ranges my truck runs perfectly fine. Now here is my question. Has anyone experienced any surging in the truck to where the rpms in the stated mph ranges above where it bounces from 1k - 1.8k? Also my trucks info is as follows.
Engine Strategy: FS0K10
Transmission Strategy: TQJF4

Engine P/N: 8C3A-14C204-PB
Transmission P/N: 8C3A-14C337-CA

Any feed back would be appreciated by both tech's and fellow owners with Spartan tunes loaded that have DPF deletes obviously. Also which strategies does the tunes cover and would they cover mine that I have?

No problem at all with the 4 tunes I have from Spartan. I've run the 75, 150, 210, and the 250hp. They are are great, and the power is awesome!!! My strategy code is close to yours, 8C3A-14C204-JD 8C3A-14C337-AC

well thats good hopefully one of the tech's chime in and give a firm answer then if everything is going to work out fine i will be placing my order and putting my livewire up for sell because i'm fed up with having to wait around for answers after giving them 2 weeks without a follow up on my situation. especially for something that is over 1k

We do not have any issues with the Job 3 trucks. Yes, we cover all of the strategies including the 2009 trucks.

That's great. I don't think you will regret it. The power is awesome. You will have to let us know what you think about it compared to the tuner you have now!!!

I definitely will as soon as I get it. I have no problems with SCT right now besides the fact that it surges other than that its a great product and also that I contacted the 3 weeks ago with my problems and still haven't heard back from them yet. Thats why I'm going with Matt and Spartan because I left him a voicemail and he got back to me the next day. Even though we have been playing phone tag since I receive his calls when I dont have service and end up just getting a voicemail, but all information needed for my truck along with waiver has been emailed just need then to contact me back so I can provide them with CC info and have my unit shipped out to me. Then I'll see what the difference is and hopefully everything works perfectly fine like the rest of you all.:D

eric.davis - Well have you received your tuner yet? If so, how much difference is there between Spartan and SCT tunes? How about fuel economy between the two? Do you like the SCT platform or the DashDaq better? Let us know when you get the time...

Be sure to put your truck back to stock before using the DD to ensure you have no issues.

Well I got the DD yesterday after I got off work and immediately from leaving the post office I pulled into an empty parking lot and returned my truck to stock and removed the SCT. Plugged the DD in and loaded the 150 tune up and just the power delivery and shifting and the absense of the surging I was experiencing was amazing. Then I went and bought some zip ties and mounted my DD where the ashtray was as seen in previous posts. And after getting back to my truck I flashed the truck again but this time with the 250 tune and I feel like a kid again with this. Now I don't have any numbers for you guys as far as mpg differences since I just loaded the tunes up but I'll finish this tank up quick and fill up again to get a real result. Currently I'm getting about 15mpg when I had SCT so if it gets better than that then so be it but I'm just enjoying my truck even more right now. Now for what I want to monitor I messed around with it a little bit but can seem to find exactly what I'm looking for. I would like to monitor EGTs Engine Coolant Temp, Engine Oil Temp, Trans temp, Fuel Rail Pressure and Boost. I know how to get to them and select all of those except the correct EGT, Fuel Rail Pressure and Boost. And here are some pics for you guys.
