You can find it here,

http://www.spartandieseltech.com/forum/showthread.php?t=43

Are you sure you have the correct firmware? It is 1.3.5-1128.

1-Download the new config file, unzip it, and put it in the "transfer" folder
2-Go to the Main menu
3-Click "SetUp"
4-scroll to: install from SD card
5-click on "config file"
6-click install
7-choose "DashDAQ.config

Has anyone tried to edit the config. file to change the abbriviations on the gauges to full names? Examp. egt to exhaust gas temp.

This is what I copied from the Drewtech forum. Just hope it will work for us using the Spartan tunes.

We are working on a skin editor that will let the user create their own page layouts, build entire themes, and import their own graphics images for gauges, needles, sliders, buttons, and backgrounds. This is a very big project, but has made steady progress. As soon as we have it ready to release it will be posted here.

It would be nice to modify the DD. Don't like the fuel rail pressure measured out to decimals. Would rather have it to thousands. Too much movement on the screen.

And whole numbers for everything - except drag times!!!!!

DrewTech has released a BETA Version of their skin editor. This allows you to make your own gauges. If you want to join the BETA Group, contact brian at DrewTech... I sent him a PM on their forum.

I just got my dashdaq this past Tuesday... Is the firmware in it the latest release? Also to get the ford specific gauges just follow those instructions that Mick wrote down?

Does the update software work with macs?

2008TTCC - No on the Mac!!!!! Your unit may have the latest update on it, here's how to find out. Plug it into your vehicle, while it booting up watch the screen. It will display some DrewTech stuff, then attempting to boot from internal flash, successful. Watch the next two lines. I believe the second of the two will display a number. It should be DashDAQ-1.4.2-1303. If it's not, then you will need to update the firmware. Before you update it, it is highly recommended that you return you truck to stock. After that remove the sd card, make sure the unit is turned off before removing. You will need to install the cd on your computer (someone's computer, no Mac) Then you will need to run the Dashdaq Update tool. If you are using Windows XP, you will need to install the driver for the DashDaq. Windows Vista 32 bit operating system will load it automatically when it detects the DashDaq. If it a Vista 64 bit operating system, you are screwed again. Will not work on the 64 bit system. You can also download the Update Client from the DrewTech site. Go to support, then downloads (Update Client) Plug the dashDaq into the computer using the usb that is located on the left side of the DashDaq. There is only one usb on that side. Don't use the others that are located on the right side. Click on the DashDaq Update Tool button and it should find your unit. Highlight the unit that it finds. Think it displays name, serial number and something else. Now click the check web for update button. It will probably find 2 updates. One for the operating system and one for the firmware. When it completes the update, it will let you know that it is safe to disconnect the unit. Reinstall the sd card after it is powered off, connect it to your vehicle and see if it boots up with 1303. If it doesn't, update it again. The last 3 people I helped, they had to do it twice. Don't know why, but??? Be sure to download the config file, if you have not done so. Place/copy the config file in you transfer folder when you get the time. Here's a link to it.

Make sure you set all the high warning colors on your gauges so you will be able to see them. One more thing, BE SURE TO BACKUP YOUR STOCK FILE AND TUNES. Burn them to a cd, and put it in a safe place.....Don't wait to have some kind of problem, and have your stock file corrupted, or lost. Send me a pm, or call and I can walk you through the process of picking up all the Ford Parameters, setting up your gauges, and any other problem you may have..

Any other problems, just give me a call. (central time Texas) Paul
