15w40 or 5w40?

i live in wisconsin. have been running 15 but thinking about changing to 5w40 . temps go anywhere from 30f to 100f. tow probably half the time im driving it. thanks..

thanks. sayy how do u like that snow injection kit? ive been thinking about one but it seems kind of complicated. what kind of power gains are you getting with it? anyone hav experience with them? thanks

Love it, not to complicated just have to drill 4 holes, 3 in post inter cooler pipe (2 are for jets and 1 is for your boost read out), and 1 driver side exhaust manifold. It added a little bit of power 67hp and 114tq at tire also droped egt's by about 200-250*

How often do you guys change your oil? I was reading the by disabling the EGR valve the oil will last longer.

Live in GA. Run 5w40 and change every 5,000 miles at the most. I run the hell out of my truck, so to be cautious I change a good bit

i use rotella 0 -30 in the winter and 15-40 in the summer. service intervals of 8000km to 14000km depends on how hard i work the truck .. the oil is alot cheeper to change than the motor and i want my truck around for a while especially when the new tune is out.:)

I use 5-40 amsoil and its bin good so far. I change it every 10 to 15,000kms.

I run Shell Rotella Synthetic, 5W-40 CJ -4. Almost 7000 miles on it so far, and oil is still very clean. Will change it at 8000, and send a sample in to Blackstone Laboratories. Really want to know how things are looking on the engine.....

I may change my oil the first time at 5000 and maybe push the limits later on if i am not towing anything at the time.

I am in Iowa, I run Rotella T 15-40, change it every 5k. All i have ever ran in my diesels... i like it
