Hi Guys, I'm new to the world of Spartan and have been a viewer for awhile. Great technology, and my lie-o-meter if somewhat accurate, usually reads 19-21MPG which I have never seen those numbers before.
I have purchased the following tunes and want to know when to use these and what different value they bring, like torque, MPG (ave), which are best for towing and why, which are best for city driving, highway, etc.
75hp
150hp
210hp
275hp
F350
Thanks.

I have used the 150dpf enabled tune, and I currently use the 210. I gained 1.5 mpg with the 150 with the dpf left in place. I never towed with it. The 210 tune I use everyday. I tow 14k and get 12.5-13 mpg vs. 8-10 stock. I haven't ran out a whole tank empty yet, buy if I were to guess 15-17 ish. I have 4.10 gears. The 210 tune is a nice all around tune. It has safety features in place that the 275 doesn't. If you monitor everything and drive smart, the 275 shouldn't be an issue.

I think you're probably going to find you may only need a couple of tunes; the 210 for heavy towing, and the 275 for everyday driving plus light to moderate towing.
The higher the HP, generally the higher the fuel mileage that has been reported. Everyone is different, has different driving styles, drives in different terrain at different elevations, with different basic weights of trucks. That's part of the fun; experiment and find out what works best for you, then report back here so maybe you can help someone else.
By the way, there is nothing that says you can't tow heavy with the 275 tune. Just be aware of a couple of things: one, there are no built in safeties, so there is no fuel bypass protection, and second, the race tunes (250 and 275) shift VERY firmly. That's desireable in a race tune so as to minimize transmission slip, but can be uncomfortable jerking a heavy trailer around.
Food for thought...

Thanks guys. I had the 275 tune running but changed it to 210. I do want some safeties in place just in case. Will keep pokeing about to find which one works best for my truck.
Cheers
