Ok, so I downloaded the update, put the DD back in the truck, went to signal scan, found the normal stuff and 45 ford things, ( I list them in "f" ) so I go to "f' and the display reads Ford Specific: 0, 0 things listed, no ford specific sensors are listed.
WTF????

You have to change the parameters.

i have looked and cannot find the new firmware version. could someone tell me when it was released. maybe i have it already.

It was just released a couple days ago. Use the "check web for updates function on the DD update tool".

Does anyone else have greyed out parameters that they cannot access???

You shouldn't have to rescan when you updated the firmware.

1. Return truck to stock
2. Remove SD card
3. Attach DD to PC
4. Open DD Up Dater
5. ?
6. ?
7. ?
8. ?

Will this update stop the DD from "freezing up" and eliminate the restart to
"un-freeze" and resetting the brightness every time? New skins?

We were but in another forum Matt posted a thread that stated with this new firmware we can now start using the check web for updates button.

That's why I need the procedure listed. There is to many forums, threads, rummers, here say, etc. to keep up with. This forum should have the Phalanx procedures clear and accessible. Ive seen too many have problems only because they missed a step or clicked the incorrect option.

5. Select the attached tuner in the center of the update tool
6. Click "check web for updates" button
7. It will download the latest firmware to the C:\Program Files\Drew Technologies, Inc\DashDAQ Update Tool\Downloads folder
8. Select the update firmware button and navigate to the above folder and highlight the latest firmware you just downloaded
9. Sit back and wait for it to finish

Mine arrived on Wednesday and I need to DL the update. It was shipped on Monday before the latest update came out so it's all good. Don't forget, if you want all the gauges preset for you you'll need to DL the config file and install it.
