Does anyone know when the new tune "310 maybe" will be out for purchase?

when testing is done

It seems like the 275 may be maxing out the fuel system. Any word on additional upgrades needed or suggested for the 310 tune?

there are a few that are only running intake, exhaust and the test tune as a daily driver...so i wouldnt think you will need it, but im sure it would help

i have an air dog now but from the sounds of it fuel system upgrades wont be needed till dual fuelers are available for them...

Or a modified HPFP.

I dont believe cp3s are necessary yet. Good numbers are coming from this tune even on stock pumps.

john cobb has a modded pump and i know that the piggy back airdog keeps up but i dont know as if he has tried the stock fuel system too see how it works. I do know that he was not happy with fass

Well thats up in the air.
Seems that Matt has figured out how to open the valve in the stock HPFP close to 100% via tuning, to get the most out of the pump...pretty much the same deal that modding the stocker does.
With the way the tuning is on the 310 theres no more draining of the rails, but there is MORE power everywhere.
Yeah I know...sounds odd....but they did not have tuning pushing the HPFP to its max before. Thats what having the right software to tune with and spending LOTS of time trying things will do for ya.
Now, according to Matt and others this probably will be the highest HP tune we will see with the stock hardware cause we seem to indeed be pushing the stock HPFP to its limits, maybe even beyond. Oh..also, the stock lift pump keeps up just fine at this level. This may be all it will do, but there are 12 second slips and 600hp dynos...do I would say the stock stuff, HPFP, sticks, Lift pump, turbos have earned their keep.

scott, didnt you say you could drain the line from the lift pump to the hpfp down to 2psi or something? and wasnt this before the test tune was made?

Yeah, but I guess the pulse width was different or something...using more fuel but at the wrong times...cause I have yet to get a low rail pressure code with these new tunes.

agreed with scott, although i didnt know about getting the stock valve to open 100% i really dont think that a modded pump is worth the work, when dual fuelers are available maybe we'll see some higher numbers. I dont have any proof however that there isnt more power to be made from a modded pump but the way i look at it is the pump can only pump X amount of fuel @ X amount of pressure, no matter how big the valve is, Unless something actually changes with the amount of fuel the pump can produce, it wont make anymore power, its kinda like running stealth oil pumps or dual oil pumps on a 7.3 same concept.

any information on fuel economy number with this tune? lots of us are interested in that!

Well...actually I am getting better with this than the 250 or the 275....and better with the V4 310 than I did with the original 310...
I see a SOLID 14+ AVERAGE with the 38s and managed 18+ 2 different times on 300 mile highway trips running 75-85mph

Thats about the same as i get now with no lift and 35's so thats good for sure...

im going to have to say that if there is a 310 tune coming out i think i might wait to get that tune instead of the 275. If its out by july that is. What kind of numbers are the trucks loooking at the wheels?

Rudy dynoed at 564/1127 at TS Outlaw, but there are newer versions of the tune and more fuel running through the pump. Matt is thinking 600 hp or so just on the tune. I am testing as well, and to me it's like going from the 210 to the 275 when you go from the 275 to the 310. It's an amazing jump. And the fuel mileage is better than the 275 v2 like Scott said. The v3 275 to me was worse than the v2 for fuel mileage.

I havent had a chance to run the new tune but the 275 is still a good all around tune and im not sure the 310 is going to be as "towable" just yet, but i have heard a few say good things about it towing as well.
Anyone care to enlighten me on this?

I would not hook up to my toyhauler loaded with the 310 tune, but I do tow my boat...22ft pontoon...regularly with it with no issues at all.

Part of that is true but the modding is to get the pump to OUTPUT its max X amount of fuel @ X amount of pressure, something that can't be done with just tuning.

When does it look like this will be avaliable? I was already thinking about getting the 275 because I hear it is better on fuel economy.... but I will wait for the 310.... I gotta get more economy outta this thing!

Ok thank you for clarifying that, but it sounds like your awful close to getting the most out of the stock pump without mods.
What does the longevity of the stock pump look like if its running at 100% not persay all the time but at WOT runs? Its not like the pump is being starved but just curious, time will likely tell..

What do you mean "terrible" with the 210 tune towing? Mine is wonderful towing 14k. Power, mileage, and overall driveability is amazing.

my truck will just spin the tires off in all the gears i try to keep it under 2500 but that doesnt work well. The power is always there for me when i need it

Well I’m not saying that the 275 tune isn’t great cause it is, but who here just doesn’t want a bit more lol.
I think I have scared just about all of my family with the 275. Just want to scare myself now.

I am guessing that doing the actual mod is to increase the volume at the same pressure? How low of lift pump pressure is safe to not burn up the HPFP? I am guessing the running to low of lift pump pressure will take it's toll on the HPFP.

It can but the stock pump is proving to be able to keep up, fuel systems really arent doing squat on them, the stock pump only requires 3psi stock.

still dont think its going to be for a bit i think the job1 trucks are still having some shifting issues right now but i think its comming along and geting revised
Last i heard the lock up is going to be in first gear as soon as the rotor is up to speed, so its going to pull like crazy.
