NO SHI*! My 275 and now my 210 does the same thing. I am not so sure the tunes are bug free???? Have posted this problem several times. No help but,"add some transmission fluid".

Mine used to be the same way, I think you’re talking about the shift from 2nd into 3rd if so that's just the torque converter locking up. That is what Matt told me because that shift on my truck felt super hard when I would just cruise. But once I put a few thousand miles on the 275 the shifts really smoothed out. Still not as soft as factory because you would destroy your Trans, but a lot better than when I first got the tune. Your truck's Trans just needs to relearn its self and the extra power being put down to the ground, once this is done you will really love how it shift when just cruising.

The hard or firm shifts, i can deal with that. That's expected with a race tune. When you start having the issue of the truck appearing to slide into neutral and then slam back into gear and break your neck, then i have a problem. Both of my trucks loaded with this tune are having the same exact problem. Neither done it stock. I think the guys are working on this but can't say for sure. Last i heard, they were having a hard time getting their test trucks to duplicate the issue.... Matt has put out some mean tunes for sure but personally, i am running the 210 on both trucks until i get more feedback... this tune is still very strong, shifts soooo smooth and have had 0 issues with it from either truck.

No problem thats what we are hear for.

What gear is this happening in? Does this happen when your slowing down or when you are on the diesel peddle?

Only slowing down or coasting to say a red light that turns green and then ease back into it. It acts like it's in neutral for about 1 to 2 seconds before in literally slams into gear! It has happen to one truck twice and the other once before I decided to switch both to the 210 and leave it there. Don't have a tree sprouting $$$$ in my back yard to fix tranny if something was to happen. It's ashame to because to 275 is a strong tune!!

How many miles did you have on the 275 tune when this first happened? if you didn't have that miny miles on it, it might be just relearning. Does this happen when using the tow/haul feature? One thing you might try is to reload the tune and drive the S*** out of it for 50 miles and see what happens running it through all of your gears up @ down Multiple times. I had a problem a while back with my trans, and got a hold of Matt and he told me to reload the tune and to drive the S*** out of it for 50 miles and you should be good, i did it and havent had a problem in a long time.

Probably about 5,000. See the site below.

This has been happening to others as well. Sporlan has posted several times as well. We have tried everything they asked us to do. There is some kinda of issue... They'll get it fixed, hopefully.

Yeah thats weird i've never had that happen on my truck, but i'm sure that SPARTAN is working on the issue it just may take a little time for them to find out what the issue that is causing it happen is. You just have to rember that they are not a giant corperation its just a few deticated FORD specilists, just call them once in a while to see whats going on with this problem, just don't pester the shit out of them though. Thats all that i can say on this since it has never happend to myself. Wish that i could be more help but i sure that there will be a fix out soon.

This just happened twice to me today!! Scary  I was getting off the freeway, just coasting slowly (typical California traffic) stepped on the gas, she revved up, and then slammed into gear! I went a little further, coasted, same thing, but it didn't do it the rest of the way home

Mine has done this four or five times. This is the 210 tune, and it seems to make no difference how many miles are on it. I'll double-check my tranny fluid tomorrow, but I don't think that's it.

I had read some time back this was an issue w/ the stock trucks as well, but never had it happen while stock. I have 17,500 on my truck and the first 8500 were stock.

Mine does the same thing as well and still..... Added an extra quart of fluid and she still does it every once in a while.... Hopefully a fix is in the works, like you guys say feels scarry like it could go the big bang.

My diesel tech at the Ford dealership I deal with(he is cool with Spartan) told me that it's a problem with stock trucks. You just add some tranny fluid and it should be fine. I have also heard this from Nutty, Matt, and John Cobb. Hope this helps
