275 adn rpm governor

ok I just got the 275 tune 2day adn it is sweet but is it normal for the truck to spin 5000 rpm or is this a glitch? I did it once and now watch but was jsut courious, any thoughts guys?

:eek: Wow, 5000? I dont have the 275, but that seems pretty high. Ive never seen anywhere near that with the 210

Ive got the 275 and I never have seen that high. I dont watch it much but when I have the highest I have seen is 3500 or around there.

It has to be a glitch it seems to me. At 5000rpm your engine should have blown something. I'm glad it didn't

Theres no rev limiter with that tune if I recall correctly.

I would not make it a habit to spin the engine ove 4K....you will end up with bent pushrods at the min spinning it that high.

well either way id like to see if nutty gets a chance to read this it will help with this discusion. I know now tho that im not going to be no lift shitfting like i do on the 210 tune. I dont like 5000 my clutch sounds like its going to come threw the floor boards. thanks for the info guys.

I thought the 250 was the highest they advised to go with a manual?

idk if they do or not i jsut knwo its sketchy adn im tring to get a rev limiter put in my tune for at least 4200. WHy you need that much rev idk, i knwo my truck still quits pulling at 3200 so idk

It is limited way before that but sometimes under certain conditions, the engine will rev quicker than the control logic can monitor and that will happen.
