Just thought I'd ask for some help. New to the truck drags but there are some local ones coming this weekend and would like to enter my truck to see what she'll do. 08 f250, spartan 275, intake exhaust... You guys that are pulling these trucks have any imput for me. I've heard low tire pressure, what should I bring the boost to before start? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I go down between 15-20lbs of air in my tires i try to stay 5lbs higher in the rear. As far as how much boost to bring it up to before you launch its totaly up to what you fell like going to. Alot depends on the pulling surface, if its loose i would just ease it on without bring up boost, but if its nice and hard pack I go upwards of 20lbs of boost just tell i cant hold it back anymore and let her eat; also i use 4 high it gives you a little more gear so your truck dosen't want to shift as much compared to 4 low. Everybody has there own set up for pulling you'll just have to try it a couple diffrent ways tell you find what is works for you

Well your tire pressure you run has alot to do with what type of tires you are running. I'm running cooper stt 37"x12.5" on 17" and on hard pack i run around 25 psi up front and 30 psi in the rear, and on loose a run 15 psi up front and 20 in the rear it makes your tires a wider foot print, more contact with the ground

i also run 25 in the front 30 in the rear, have had good luck with that

Strap the front end down anyway you can to keep it from hopping

Traction bars, get some

i usually leave unboosted in 4wd High range with the selector in drive, and i have had really good luck.
