usb driver install problems????

i am trying to update the firmware on my DashDaq but I am having problems with the USB drivers. When I download them from the drewtech website and extract the files I only have the setup information in the notebook format.

Can you please advise as to how I should be installing the drivers? I am using Windows XP.

DashDaq detects USB but asks if the drivers are installed

There is a new firmware update that has been released. I'm currently writing instruction, and hopefully will have them posted sometime tomorrow night. There are a lot of changes to this version, and really wanted to get everything written before posting, but have had some calls and emails so I posted a sticky about it on the forum:

Not sure if I quite understand but it kinda sounds what I had problems with.

I used to have problems with my DashDaq connecting to my computer. I tried installing the drivers from DrewTech numerous times with no luck! Finally I decided to try something. I had a dual USB to miniUSB connector and pluged it in. The computer recognized it and the computer drivers worked. Everything has been great since then.

With the new update client there is no need to install the usb driver as it should install automatically after the update client is installed and the DashDAQ is connected to your computer. Call me if you are still having problems.
