I got a question, I plugged in the dashdaq into my computer using the supplied USB cable. The plug on the left of the dashdaq. When it boots up it says " NO response from PC... Are the driver's installed?

Does anyone know where I go from here? I tried to download the install CD from Drew tech, is this the right way? I don't think I had a CD given when I bought, or maybe I did and misplaced it because I was too excited to get it.

Next question, Is when I go to the thread to download the newest firmware, I click on it and extract all the files. Where do I go from there to download it onto the dashdaq. When I boot up the screen I think my firmware is 1.3.1-859. Is that right? Any help would be apprecated.

Thanks,
Dean :)

Todd2002 - It will say boot halted on the Dashdaq, that's normal, while it pluged into the computer. Using the DashDaq update tool, if the drivers are installed, once it's connected to the computer it will scan for your unit. Once it finds it, click the check web for update button. If you read something about not being able to use it, you now can. That was under one of the old firmware updates, and it's safe to use now. If that doesn't work, call me, try this.

i can't find the update feature. i tried downloading it to my hard drive but it wouldn't open the file. could it be mcafee stopping it?

Yes it could be your anti virus software stopping it. Try disabling it, then try it again.

Yes my anti-virus software tried to stop mine as well. I have a feature that asks me if I can ALLOW that to access the internet. I just clicked YES and away we go!
