i read this a few days ago and was wondering if there is another update yet.
We are experiencing some issues with the latest firmware and returning the vehicle to stock. I will let everyone know when the fix is available. Please only ask for a stock file replacement if you need to put the vehicle back to stock for dealer work before the update is available. The update may be able to still use the existing ".stk" file. Sorry for the inconvenience.

i understand that there are more people on the other general forums but i think it would be more helpful to the people who actually own the spartan tuners if info like this was placed on this forum first. it would be way easier to find the important info if it was all here in one location

What could be more helpful is a mass e-mail alert to all Phalanx owners.
It would seem to be more effective than having all the Spartan guys searching several forums for questions.

There is not a newer update, and personally I would suggest staying with the previous firmware for now, I would not advise updating to the newest stuff.

i should have waited. since i didn't and updated to 140 1219 is there a way to undo what was done? can a reload the prior update? i don't have any problems with 1219 yet but isn't the problem returning it to stock?

yes that is where the problem is, not sure if you can go back to the old firmware

im sure you can't or it already would have been posted. also if you can't get it back to stock which is the first thing you're supposed to do before changing the firmware it might mess things up more than just leaving it. i just hope there is not a reason to get it back to stock before they get it fixed

Yes you can go back to the old firmware, I have done it.
I would not go back to stock with the newest firmware? Who said this?
And even if it has been said I have never been back to stock thru 3 firmware updates. The only reason I was going back to stock this time was cause I needed to bring the truck in to the dealer.

There was a post that Scott jumped in on and confirmed. The discussion was about returning to stock prior to a Firmware update. The consensus was it's a good idea because the DD scans the file to ensure it's the proper file for the truck. . .this scanning is built into the firmware, so if they tweak it, you may not be able to reload the stock tune. . .kinda like how the newest version of the firmware is acting lol.

Pahrump - I saw the post about returning it to stock, but like you I've never had a problem with it when updating the firmware. I've returned it to stock once during a firmware update, the other times I just left the tune loaded.
Did you take your truck in? What did they find?

it's number one in the directions for the firmware update. i just figured that's what you are supposed to do. there must be other issues with the new firmware or the fix would be to just go back to the old version. i think i'll just leave it for now. i would call matt but i don't want to bother him if i don't have a problem. i'm sure he'll fix it in due time

Dirty fuel filters....so dirty that it was starving the pump and thats why it would not start and threw the 2291 code.
They drove it 50 miles yesterday and said it was all good. I am actually about to go pick it up and I will leave it stock for a few days and drive the piss out of it to see it it has any more problems.

i had my oil changed yesterday, i get them for free or i would do it myself, and the guy wanted to do the fuel filters (10000 miles) i declined for the 130 they wanted to charge me but i think i will do it today. with the costs of fuel and the crappy fuel we have been getting lately i think it would be worth it to do it a little early.

Yeah mine only has 9500 miles on the odo....the truck probably has about 11000 miles on it really cause of having larger tires on it but still I would not have thought the filters would have been that clogged up.

Well only have about 6700 on mine, but when I do change the oil, I will definitely chance the fuel filters.

Yeah that was the first time I changed the fuel filters. I was going to have them changed when I had the oil changed at about 8500miles, but they said it was not needed till about 15000 miles...I beg to differ....lol

I changed mine at 10K and while not clean as a whistle the only one that showed any dirt at all was the lower water seperator. They were pretty clean.

I tried that but unfortunately our email servers bounce it back, too many recipients.
