Default Frozen Tuner !!!!!!!

I did everything right, like always and this time my tuner froze at 62%. To make things worse I restarted the tuner and it couldn't find any available tunes other then my stock one. I loaded the stock tune successfully and it found all of my tunes again so I tried again with a different tune selected, in the event the other file was/is corrupt. This worked out. I'm sure this isn't the preferred method but it happened after hours and I had no help and couldn't find anything on the forum. So question is, if it ever happens again what do I do???

Thanks bro, joined the group. Do you have any problems towing your trailer with the tow tune? I have a 40' 5er and the tow tune makes my truck shutter and bog down like it's not getting enough fuel or too much air on take offs until I hit 3k rpm. I just started using the stock dpf off tune to tow.

No.... I run the 210TP tune. My 5er is 39 and I am 23K CGVW. When starting out don't get in a hurry. 20 to 25% pedal position is fine. The shift will hit a little hard especially from 5th to 6th lock up. Make sure you have it in T/H. I don't like the 3K+ RPM's but it will happen from time to time on pulls starting out. Just make sure you have the proper parameters set on the DD or nDash so you can monitor. The is no need to push the pedal to the floor. Be kinda gentle. We are not racing. If you have more question give me a shout

One more thing...The 210TP tune needs a tranny relearn. Jeff has posted the procedure.

I try to keep it under 25% and roll thru the gears and it would still give me the shutter and definitely make positive shifts. When it bogs down it feels like it's gonna stalk out and I have to let all the way off the throttle and then ease back into it again. Last time I went thru the scales my trailer was at about 17k#'s. I've only been able to do the relearn process once, since working on the west coast, there aren't any open roads to do it! Next time I have to move the trailer I'll do the relearn first and hope it fixes it!!!

Thanks for the help!

I would just write that off to a software glitch and some luck.

Normally when the tuning process is interrupted the TCM has a bad day and fry's.

Yes, do a relearn but it doesn't have to be done all in 1 shot or even 1 day as you just gata give the trany some idea of how to shift. Daily driving is the biggest smoother of the shift but you'll have to do some harded pulls for it to learn some shifts for when your towing. %25 - 35 should be fine

Do you think I would need to run the harder relearn to eliminate my issue on the bouncing?

I don't think the bouncing issue your having T is will be fixed by adding to the relearn you do.
