Connect the DashDAQ to the OBDII port located below the steering wheel. If the DashDAQ does  not automatically power up, press and release the power button on the unit. It should boot up to the Gauge screen. Next select Exit. Then go to Tuning and I Accept. Select Load Tune. It will display Turn on the Key and do not start vehicle. Next press Ok. It will read the vin and strategy code of the truck. Write down the strategy code and keep it in a safe place as you will need it when you update your profile on the website. If you tune it before getting the strategy code you will need to reload the stock file to retrieve the actual strategy code. It is highly recommended that a battery charges is used when loading a tune. Now it will display turn off the key, and it will search for available tunes. Scroll right or left using the arrows on the screen and select the tune you wish to load. Then press OK. It will display the time involved in tuning the truck, which at this time is actually approximately 45 minutes. Follow the direction on the screen.

Do not turn off the DashDAQ , cancel the uploading process or turn the key off till it displays on the screen that the tune has been successfully loaded, turn off the key for 10 seconds, then start vehicle.

We highly recommend that you load a tune prior to removing the exhaust system.
